The last of the garden goods

Onions!

Basil Flowers

Herbs!

I have to say that I was so please with my garden this year. When Brian and I were looking for houses It was very important that we bought a house with a good area for a garden. Some things did great like my tomatoes and carrots, other things not so much like my pumpkins, squash and beans. Somethings I can't wait to plant more of like onions (they were so sweet!) and other things that won't plant again like broccoli. My peppers I will start sooner inside so hopefully my crop will be better. In theory I will have a green house for next season. We got 12 double pane windows from Freecycle on Sunday. Now Brian just has to build it... if he ever finishes that silly motorcycle. Here are some pictures of the last of things from the garden. I have been drying, freezing, and canning things for a month now and finished up the last of it this past weekend. For as much as I wish we could be totally self sufficient and I could grow and preserve all our food for the winter, I am very thankful for the grocery store.
